GIVE IT TO GOD

Are you facing something bigger than yourself? Have you done all you can or given all you had and were left wondering how will it be enough? I can answer yes to these questions and I am certain I am not alone.

"And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things. When the day was now far spent, His disciples came to Him and said, “This is a deserted place, and already the hour is late. Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat.”

But He answered and said to them, “You give them something to eat.”

And they said to Him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?”

But He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.”

And when they found out they said, “Five, and two fish.”

Then He commanded them to make them all sit down in groups on the green grass. So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties. And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all. So they all ate and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish. Now those who had eaten the loaves were about five thousand men." Mark 6:34-44

The scripture reveals many things but the point I want to make is that God wants to work with us. Jesus tells the disciples to give Him all they had, the five loaves of bread and two fish. With these few items, Jesus feeds five thousand people and after feeding them, plenty is left over. Jesus took what they gave and it was multiplied.

We have our own obstacles and problems to face. We sometimes wonder how can we get through it or complete the task at hand, but God wants us to give Him our all.

Do not worry. Take what you have and do what you can do. Give God your best and receive heaven's best.

Be blessed.

JESUS LIVES

"Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’” Luke 24:1-7

Happy Resurrection Day! It is not about colorful eggs, baskets filled with treats, or a big bunny hopping down the bunny trail. Today is about the One who came and gave His life so that we can have eternal life. Jesus lives. As you enjoy another beautiful day that the Lord has made, remember Jesus who died on the cross and rose again for all of us.

Be blessed.

LORD, WILL THIS BE THE DAY?

I have been working a job and I cannot advance or transition out of it into my desired career. Lord, will this be the day a door of opportunity opens up to me?

You gave me a vision and it has yet to come to pass. Lord, will this be the day it happens?

The doctor gave me a bad report months ago, but I am trusting in You and standing on Your Word. Lord, will this be the day the report confirms I am healed?

When we are made to wait for an extended period of time, we might find ourselves asking, "Lord, will this be the day?" Today just might be the day. Do not give up on Him. Do not lose hope. His Word is true and His timing is perfect.

"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday." Psalm 37;4-6

Be blessed.

A BLESSING IS A BLESSING

Some of us overlook blessings because they do not come packaged the way we think they should be. Others are looking for something big; therefore, they miss out on recognizing something great. The Lord's blessings are all around us. They come in all forms, shapes, sizes, and colors. His blessings are tangible and intangible.

Sweet sleep is just as much a blessing as someone walking up and giving me a crisp $100 bill. Someone might not see the blessing in a good night's sleep, but can see money as a greater blessing. Ask a person who suffers from insomnia which of the blessings he or she would choose.

I am guilty of having viewed blessings as big and small, but lately, I have come to recognize that a blessing is a blessing.

Be blessed.
