IN GOD I WILL TRUST

Whenever I am afraid,
I will trust in You. Psalm 56:3

Just by turning on the radio or t.v. we hear of frightening events taking place not only in other countries, but America as well. No place on this earth is exempt from murders, illnesses, violations, etc. Hearing of such things day after day might cause many to live in fear. I sometimes think back to when I was a young girl and reading and hearing about the days when people could leave their windows and doors open without fearing harm or danger. The children in the neighborhood played together and parents looked after them, whether they belonged to them or not. Long gone are those days.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

God does not want us to live in fear. As believers, we know this. Strange and scary things are happening all around us and if we fail to remember who we are to depend on and completely trust, fear could overtake us.

It is God we trust. He is our Protector. He has us in His hands. There is no safer place to be than in the hands of the Creator.

Be blessed.

  1. Such a reassuring post. God will always deliver us. I love it that the phrase "Do not be afraid" is mentioned 365 times in the Bible. Like God is telling us not to fear every day. Let us trust Him indeed.

  6. Good Morning Misty! I'm so blessed to have found you via the blogger care group. Just the word I needed this morning- fears and worries can take over almost before I realize what's happening- I'm so thankful God knows our weaknesses- He says- when we are afraid- that's a human condition- but then He gives us the solution- I will trust in Him! Thanks for sharing this powerful message! He's got everything under His control. Hugs and blessings
