Some people start their day with a cup of coffee, but prayer starts my day. After all, my alarm clock did not wake me. A cup of coffee did not wake me. My Father woke me up this morning. He gave me the breath I needed to open my eyes to see this new day.

I can set aside any time of the day to pray, but I prefer early morning prayer when it is peaceful and no distractions. Prayer refreshes my soul. It gives me the extra strength I need to face whatever might come my way. A popular commercial from the past, says"Milk, it does a body good. Pass it on." I say, "Prayer, it does a body good. Pass it on."

Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. Mark 1:35

Be blessed.

  1. While I'm getting ready in the morning, I pray. Instead of thinking about all the things I need to do, I think about my blessings and just how good God is to me. The rest will come, but praise and prayer are really the best way to start the day.
